As producers steeped in the literary arts, we bring a multidisciplinary approach to the development of every project, often curating collaborations between a variety of artforms and unlikely themes. We use performance and creative writing techniques to explore bigger issues and have worked with universities and organisations to bring ideas to life. Examples of some of our consultation and delivery work in this field appears below. Contact us for more information.

Home Exhibition KCL

Tolu of Toluwa productions acted as creative consultant to the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy at King’s College University London (KCL) to assist with the conceptualisation of their Home exhibition season which aimed to use the arts as a way to engage with academic research. KCL was inspired by our own Home Is project which was developed and produced by Tolu, encompassing workshops, documentary, theatre and collaborations between poetry illustration, animation and dance. Working closely with faculty, we developed and presented several workshops, created a public participation installation & co-curated a showcase event.

Youth Manifesto for 3FF

Commissioned by Three Faiths Forum, we worked with a videographer and 26 young people over a month to generate ideas, write, learn performance techniques and eventually produce a collaborative poetic youth manifesto. As Associate Artist on the project, our Tolu Agbelusi was specifically responsible for planning and driving the writing and performance sessions, editing, arranging disparate pieces of writing into one cohesive piece and coaching the young people. The result is the video here as well as the confidence and community building that took place amongst the young people.
